This Company Made Its Employees Sit Under the Rain?

Seriously, MessengerCo?

Did you really think it was okay to make your employees sit under the rain as part of a retreat?

Are we supposed to believe that this is genuine care, or is it just another way to tick a box and call it ‘employee welfare’?

On 31st May and 1st June 2024, the MessengerCo team embarked on a memorable retreat to Lexis Hibiscus Port Dickson, Negeri Sembilan.

This short trip was not merely a reward, but a reflection of our commitment to genuine employee welfare.

Our dedication to our staff is not just about perks but about creating an environment where they can thrive.

The retreat was more than just relaxation; it was an opportunity to reinforce our core values.

Dinner at Coconut Groove

We kicked off with engaging team-building activities like the “broken phone” game, highlighting the importance of clear communication—a cornerstone of our daily operations.

In the spirit of fun, we embraced thrilling activities like Banana Boat and Airhead rides, living out our values of “Play above the line” and “Don’t overthink, just do.”

These moments of joy and camaraderie emphasized the importance of seizing the present and fostering a vibrant workplace.

As the sun set, we gathered at the Coconut Groove Restaurant for a heartfelt dinner and gratitude sharing session despite rain.

Our CEO, Heaster, and CFO, Wayne, delivered moving speeches, acknowledging our staff’s contributions and celebrating their successes.

At MessengerCo, we believe in “Teamwork” and being “Resourceful,” values that drive our collective growth.

Their words underscored our commitment to valuing each individual’s efforts and creating a supportive community.

This retreat was a testament to our dedication to these principles and our commitment to fostering an environment where everyone can excel.

Here’s to our incredible journey and many more milestones ahead.
